These terms are a contract between you (the business or person opening a Kaido account) and Kaido. We've kept them short and honest — the parts that matter are not hidden in the footnotes.
The agreement
By creating an account or using Kaido you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you accept on behalf of a company, you confirm you're authorised to bind it.
Accounts & workspaces
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- A workspace's owner controls membership, roles, billing and deletion. Admins, agents and viewers get exactly the access their role grants — no more.
- You are responsible for what happens under your workspace, including what your invited members do.
Plans & billing
- The free plan is genuinely free — no card required. Paid plans are billed per agent seat, monthly, in advance.
- You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel any time from workspace settings. Downgrades take effect at the end of the paid period; we don't do partial-month clawbacks.
- If a payment fails we retry and tell you. After 14 days unpaid, the workspace becomes read-only until it's settled — we never delete your data over a missed payment.
- Prices can change with at least 30 days' notice, never mid-cycle.
Acceptable use
Use Kaido to support people, not to harm them. You may not use it to:
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or violate channel policies (e.g. WhatsApp Business terms);
- harass, defraud, or deceive people — including passing the AI off as a human when asked directly;
- upload malware, attempt to breach other workspaces, or probe the service's security;
- process data you have no legal right to process.
We may suspend a workspace that puts other customers, end users or the platform at risk — with notice where practical.
Connected channels
WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, email and voice run on third-party platforms with their own rules. You must comply with those rules; where a provider (e.g. Meta) suspends your channel, we can't override that. We keep your inbox working and your data intact while you resolve it with the provider.
Your data
- You own your data. Conversations, contacts, knowledge-base articles — all of it. We claim no rights beyond what's needed to run the service.
- You can export your data (CSV and API) at any time, on any plan.
- For end-customer personal data you are the controller and we are the processor, per the Privacy Policy.
AI features
- AI output is a draft, not a promise. Review automations and drafts as you would a new teammate's work — you remain responsible for what your workspace sends.
- You control which channels the AI may answer automatically, and its boundaries.
- Your data is never used to train shared models across customers.
Availability & support
We target 99.9% monthly availability and operate transparent status reporting. Support is included on every plan; paid plans get priority response. Planned maintenance is announced ahead of time and scheduled to minimise disruption.
Liability
Kaido is provided "as is". To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses (lost profits, lost data caused by factors outside our control). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination
- You can close your workspace at any time from settings.
- After closure, data is recoverable for 30 days, then permanently deleted per the Privacy Policy.
- We may terminate for material breach of these terms if it isn't cured within 14 days of notice (immediately for serious abuse).
Changes & contact
If we change these terms materially we'll give at least 14 days' notice in-product and by email. Continued use after that means acceptance. Questions: hello@kaido.app.
